Spanish Trails® Tours and Events brings you exciting, all-inclusive, small group day tours to the coastal villages of the Costa Brava and to beautiful Girona City. As the Costa Brava is one of the few pristine coastal areas in the western Mediterranean Sea, our small group and private day trips/tours to the Costa Brava and Girona take guests to experience charming fishing villages, outdoor markets, Botanical gardens, short walks to secluded beaches, great panoramic lookout points over the crystal clear coves and a gastronomy that has put Catalan chefs and Spain on Europe’s culinary map. We take the second half of the day to explore the quaint old quarter of the Roman founded city of Girona.
The Costa Brava, the “rugged coast”, is coined as such due to its high, sheer cliffs and numerous rocky coves. Our guests will enjoy a very complete day of guided exploration by our knowledgeable, entertaining guides to the Costa Brava and Roman/medieval city of Girona. After visiting this privileged corner of the world it is not hard to imagine why it is still mostly a local’s vacation spot for families and romantic getaways. The Costa Brava is characterized by small, medieval towns, fishing villages and the rocky coves and secluded beaches, of which most are largely only reachable by boat or narrow coastal trails. Our guests will visit ruins of Iberian villages from pre-Roman times, wind through the streets of quaint medieval towns and picturesque fishing villages with food and crafts markets and enjoy short walks (optional) to amazing beaches, botanical gardens and cliff-top lookout points. Girona and it's old quarter, just to the interior, is also on the intinerary. Lunch is served beach-side or in Girona city at a great restaurant with wine, big salads, olives, grilled meats or the freshest of the fresh catch-of-the-day.
