Snow Adventure in the Best of the Pyrenees – Getaways to Andorra and Spain

The Pyrenees Mountains are just north of Barcelona and a perfect destination for quality snowshoeing, snowboarding or ski touring day excursions and package ski getaways from Barcelona or a complete winter ski holiday. The Catalan Pyrenees of Andorra and Spain boast an impressive number of snowcapped peaks and valleys and charming mountain villages perfect for snow sport adventure only an hour and half from bustling Barcelona. Spanish Trails® Adventure Snow Bound day excursions and extended escapes run from January to early April, which is the peak snow adventure season in the Pyrenees.

Through the pristine mountain routes

Upon arrival at one of the many ski resorts or snowshoe trailheads in Andorra or Spain, we’ll slip into our gear and be on our way. Our experienced guides take you through the pristine mountain routes and ski runs to experience the amazing views and natural environment of the Pyrenees. Mid-way through the day excursion we’ll rendezvous for snacks and refreshments to revive and warm up a bit before continuing. Before returning to Barcelona, we’ll enjoy a great meal of traditional Catalan cuisine in a mountainside restaurant(snowshoeing trip only. Ski and Boarding is picnic lunch). While Spanish Trails® Adventure does offer snowshoeing, skiing and snowboarding as a day excursion, a two to five day extended escape is recommended and usually requires a pre-e-booking of at least three weeks. Spanish Trails® Adventure guides accompany all snowshoe day excursions and are optional for skiing and snowboarding trips. Transport to the Pyrenees directly from the Barcelona airport is available!
